Caribbean Stud Poker

Caribbean Stud Poker is a five card poker game where the objective is to have a stronger poker hand than the dealer. The game uses a standard 52 card deck. Before the cards are dealt, the player is required to make an ante bet. After all antes have been placed, the dealer will deal five cards to the player face up. Only one of the dealer's cards is exposed and the rest are dealt face down. Most casinos will have an optional $1 side bet for the progressive jackpot if you are playing a progressive game.

After the deal, the player has two options: one is to fold and the other is to keep playing. If the player folds, the ante is lost. If the player continues he must make a bet that is equal to the ante. After everyone at the table has either folded or made a bet, the dealer shows his cards and play proceeds as follows:

If the dealer does not have a poker hand of at least an ace and king or better, he doesn't qualify. All players who called their bets are paid out at odds of 1:1 on their ante bet and their call bet is returned. Even if the player's hand does not qualify, the player will still win.

If the dealer has a hand of Ace and King or higher and it beats the player's hand, the player will lose their ante and their bet.

Caribbean poker dealer qualifies and player wins
